    Good afternoon,
There is no user manual, per say, for Quicken. You can view our getting started guide here: https://www.quicken.com/complete-guide-getting-started-quicken-2018-windows Also, from within the program you can go to Help > Quicken Help (F1) and browse/search that as it is quite comprehensive and has many detailed walkthroughs. Lastly, if you have a specific issue you cannot find an answer to, you can post a question here as you have for the community to assist.
    Best of luck
    Colin

If you prefer a printed manual, there are Quicken how to books available. Check Amazon or your local book store. Two titles are the Quicken Official Guide and Quicken For Dummies.
Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.

I had the same issue. After paying the ransom to subscribe to Quicken 2018, I still could not download transactions and update accounts. I deactivated affected accounts and reactivated them and that seemed to work this morning for all but two (Ally and Schwab). It was a big PITA and I agree it is ridiculous to just shut off accesss to Quicken 2015 (3 years old?! And don’t recall receiving any notices) and holding us hostage.

I spent over two hours (a) trying to figure out what was going on, (b) installing QW 2018, (c) again trying to figure out what was going on since it wasn't working in QW 2018 either, (c) de-activating accounts and re-activating them and (d) deleting old activity downloaded in each account after it was re-activated. I still don't have them all working.

I also understand the need to make money, but charge the right amount for the software upfront rather than forcing a conversion so soon. Microsoft supported Office 2007 (and I believe pretty much all Windows and Office products) for 10 years. 3 years is not a reasonable support lifecycle. Further, not only does QW 2018 not work seemlessly upon conversion, the user interface is worse than QW 2015. The text is not as sharp at all.

I also will be looking for other financial software before my paid subscription expires. I have used Quicken for many, many years and this is the first time my online services were shut off, but not the first time I had to waste a bunch of time deactivating / reactivating accounts and deleting transactions or copying a file or reimporting history into a new file because of something the company did to the software. Enough is enough.
