Missing Manuals Series

This book is NOT for someone who is just learning a Mac computer. It is over 800 pages. The writer assumes that you already have a good working knowledge of the MacOS system, or, have used another Mac. Trust me, your IPad doesn't count! Even my partner, who worked in IT for 30+ as a Microsoft data base administer got lost in the first chapter. The minutiae is overwhelming. I can find no 'how to' for simple stuff like creating a folder, moving a document into a folder, etc. This book probably deserves 4 or 5 stars for those who have Mac experience, but, it's useless to me at this time. I just wanted other people who are new to Mac to read my review and look for a different help book. I wish the description had indicated that this was not a book for beginners.
